Some of My Absolutely Favorite Layouts

Now I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my whole wedding album, but I chose a few of the layouts I thought were the best. I really enjoyed making this whole album, as it was much more elegant than anything I had done to this point. A majority of the album is done in our wedding colors which were fuchsia, light yellow, and hunter green. In this album I started matting my pictures, which I think added so much. I was also incorporating the use of the Cricut and ribbons. This album also reveals the discovery of chipboard letters, Stickels, stamping, and wet embossing, as well as dry embossing with the Sizzix Big Shot and Sizzix Texture Boutique.

More pre-wedding fun

Continuing to progress as I move to a different book, leading right up to the night before the wedding. At this point I am still trying to cut out shapes with the Cricut on the actual pictures. I used the All Mixed Up cartridge to create the circles and the letters for "rehearsal".

Making Progress

As I said, my first attempts weren't my favorite. As I continued to scrap, I moved on to our pre-wedding showers, and I was getting better at scrapping and "making progress". I chose the layouts from my bachelorette party to share, as these were super fun and I loved the colors. As you can see, at this point I am still very into stickers, but I am starting to try new embellishments and paper layouts. I have also discovered ribbon, and am attempting to incorporate it into my pages. This was also immediately after my fabulous husband invested in the Cricut for me. The lingerie, lips and the words bachelorette party were all cut out from the cricut, as my first attempts at using the machine. I love these pieces!

A New Beginning...

I have always been a crafty person, but would often hop from project to project, trying anything from scrapbooking, needlepoint, baking, painting pottery, or even bad attempts at sewing. In 2009, I finally found myself without a hobby. For Christmas that year a great friend, my sister-in-law, Karen, gave me a gift certificate to Archiver's, and low and behold, a renewed interest in scrapbooking was upon me. Having just got married in the summer of 2009, I had a wedding and a honeymoon to scrap, so I dove right in, and 8 months later I can't quit. Though I had scrapbooked before, I really started trying new things and feel as though I have progressed along the way. I started with our honeymoon, as they always say to start with the most recent... so that was my first attempt, and not so great. I chose a few of my favorite pages to share...
